Wolves split with GCC in finale

SUNY Niagara wrapped up the regular season with a split at Region III rival Genesee Community College on Wednesday evening. 

The Thunderwolves finished the year at 5-26 overall and 5-16 in regional play. 

SUNY Niagara 8, Genesee CC 4

Sophomore Rylee VanNostrand was 3-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs scored in the opener. Freshman Isabella Christopher went 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored, winning pitcher Natalie Brandel was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and freshmen Lauren Kisloski and Jordan Shaffer added two hits apiece.

Genesee CC 5, SUNY Niagara 3

Sophomore Camryn Smith, freshman Quinn Manth, Brandel and VanNostrand each recorded two hits in the finale. Kisloski was credited with the lone RBI.
