Niagara County Community College rolled past visiting Erie Community College, 91-31, in the Region III regular-season finale for both teams on Saturday afternoon. The Thunderwolves, ranked No. 11 in the latest NJCAA Div. II poll, improved to 28-1 overall and 8-0 in regional play.
Sophomore guard Cierra Harrison led NCCC with 19 points, four assists and four steals. Freshman guard Alaina Forbes scored 16 points off the bench, sophomore guard Paige Emborsky canned four 3-pointers on her way to 12 points and sophomore point guard Nickelle O'Neil chipped in with 10 points and four steals. The Thunderwolves forced 39 turnovers in the win.
NCCC will host the Region III Div. II Final Four on Saturday and Sunday. The host T-Wolves will play in the first semifinal at 1 p.m. Saturday.
