Niagara County Community College outscored visiting Jamestown Community College 54-21 in the middle two quarters en route to an 84-43 Region III victory on Saturday afternoon. The Thunderwolves, ranked No. 13 in the latest NJCAA Div. II poll, improved to 21-1 overall and 2-0 in regional play.
Sophomore guards Paige Emborsky and Cierra Harrison led a balanced NCCC attack, netting 15 points each, Freshman guard Alaina Forbes scored 13 off the bench, while sophomore forward Molly Mahony had 10 points, 12 rebounds and five steals and classmate Aubrey Halloran finished with 10 points, eight boards and seven blocks.
Next up for the T-Wolves is a regional showdown with Genesee Community College. Tip is slated for 1 p.m. Saturday at NCCC.
