Emborsky named NJCAA All-American

Niagara County Community College sophomore Paige Emborsky was named to the NJCAA Division II All-American second team on Tuesday. Emborsky is the fifth player in program history to earn those honors, joining all-time NCCC greats Michelle Milleville-Lyman, Jaclyn Welch, Taliyah Hopkins and Kenetria Redfern. Last month, Emborsky was named a first team All-American by national recruiting service World Exposure WBB.

Emborsky was also recognized as Region III Player of the Year after leading the Thunderwolves to a 30-1 record and a second consecutive berth in the NJCAA Division II Tournament this past winter. The Abilene Christian University signee led the team with 15.5 points per game. She finished with 1,011 career points, which is second in school history (1,029, Milleville-Lyman). Emborsky also had impressive shooting statistics, netting 50 percent of her field goals, 51 percent of her 3-pointers and 86 percent of her free throws.
