Thunderwolves falter late vs. Bobcats

Niagara County Community College was outscored 24-13 in the final quarter as it dropped an 87-75 non-conference decision to visiting Bryant & Stratton College of Rochester on Wednesday night. The Thunderwolves fell to 1-2 overall, while the Bobcats improved to 7-3. 

Freshman Gabrielle McDuffie again led NCCC with 23 points, 16 rebounds, three steals and three assists. Classmate Kiya Marquez added 14 points, five assists and four rebounds, while sophomore Alaina Forbes chipped in 12 points, five boards and four steals. The T-Wolves, though, shot just 36 percent from the field, 22 percent from 3-point land and 36 percent from the free-throw line.

Kayanah Price led a balanced BSC Rochester attack with 16 points and 14 rebounds.

The Thunderwolves return to the floor at 5:30 p.m. Friday when Region III rival Jamestown CC visits the Sanborn campus.
