Niagara County Community College went on a key 9-0 run in the final minutes to pull out a narrow 94-89 Region III road win at Jamestown Community College on Tuesday night. The Thunderwolves improved to 7-4 overall and 3-1 in regional play, while JCC dropped to 3-7, 1-3.
Sophomore Alaina Forbes led NCCC with 20 points and seven rebounds, while freshman Gabrielle McDuffie added 19 points and 15 boards. Freshman Meghan Gill had a career-high 10 points off the bench. The T-Wolves collected 37 offensive rebounds in the win.
Nadara O'Dell had a game-high 31 points for Jamestown CC.
NCCC will host the Jayhawks for the Region III championship at Noon Saturday.
