Host Niagara County Community College knocked off No. 17 Union County Community College, 77-66, in non-conference action on Sunday afternoon. It was the fourth consecutive victory for the Thunderwolves, who improved to 6-4 overall. The Owls dropped to 9-3.
Sophomore Alaina Forbes led NCCC with 22 points, while freshman Kiya Marquez finished with 16 points and seven rebounds. The T-Wolves, who led by as many as 27 points, forced 24 turnovers in the win.
Samira Sargent had 16 points to lead Union.
NCCC wraps up its regular season at 6 p.m. Tuesday when it travels to Region III rival Jamestown Community College for a fourth matchup.
