N-Trip gets road win at Butler CCC

Niagara County Community College put up 60 first-half points on its way to a convincing 101-51 non-conference win over host Butler County Community College on Friday night. 

The Thunderwolves improved to 10-3 overall, while the Pioneers fell to 2-5.

NCCC freshman Gabrielle McDuffie led a balanced effort with 13 points and seven rebounds. All 12 active players scored for the T-Wolves, who pulled down 28 offensive rebounds.

Also for N-Trip, the freshman trio of Kiya Marquez, Aichata Ballo and Jenna Slader each netted 12 off the bench, while freshman Ashley Tucker added nine points and 11 boards.

Hailey Metzger scored 22 points to lead Butler CCC.

NCCC has a quick turnaround at 6 p.m. Saturday as it hosts Jefferson Community College as part of the annual T-Wolves Holiday Classic.
