NCCC starts strong in win at Lorain

Niagara County Community College jumped out to a commanding 28-10 lead after the first quarter on its way to an 83-62 non-conference road win at Lorain County Community College on Tuesday night.

The Thunderwolves improved to 5-2 overall, while the Commodores dropped to 2-2.

NCCC, which had all 12 active players net a bucket, was led by freshman point guard Kiya Marquez' 15 points.

Also for N-Trip, freshman wing Gabrielle McDuffie had 13 points, four assists and four steals and sophomore guard Alaina Forbes chipped in with 12 points.

Cora Sanders had a game-high 22 points for Lorain CCC.

The T-Wolves return to action at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 1 when they host Genesee Community College.
