Niagara County Community College opened the 2023-24 season with a 106-30 non-conference road win at Corning Community College on Tuesday night. The Thunderwolves, ranked No. 20 in the NJCAA Div. II preseason poll, are now 1-0 overall.
NCCC, which built a commanding 61-13 lead at the half, had six players in double figures. Freshman Krystal Smith had a team-high 15 points, while sophomore Faith Alessandra and freshman Rachel Kamrowski netted 14 apiece. Also for N-Trip, freshman Mia Little scored 12 points, sophomore Tessa Schuey had 10 and freshman Rylee VanNostrand added 10.
The T-Wolves return to the court at 5 p.m. Friday for a road tilt at NJCAA Div. I Allegany College of Maryland.
