NCCC rolls past rival Kats

Niagara County Community College shot a blistering 54 percent and forced 39 turnovers on its way to a 122-42 Western New York Athletic Conference road win at Erie Community College on Wednesday night. The Thunderwolves, ranked No. 20 in the latest NJCAA Div. II poll, improved to 19-1 overall and 2-0 in conference play.

NCCC sophomore Faith Alessandra scored a game-high 23 points to lead a parade of seven players in double figures. Freshman Nadara O'Dell finished with 16 points and seven boards, while classmate Mia Little stuffed the stat sheet with 15 points, nine steals, eight assists and five rebounds. 

Also for N-Trip, freshman Krystal Smith had 13 points, four boards and three steals and sophomore Tessa Schuey added 12 points, six assists, four rebounds and three steals. Sophomore Emily Delisle chipped in with 10 points and five rebounds and freshman Makayla Thomas netted 10 points. 

The T-Wolves return to action at 5 p.m. Friday for a road date with WNYAC rival Monroe Community College.
