Wolfpack has 3-0 weekend in Maryland

SUNY Niagara went 3-0 at this past weekend's annual Personal Best Athletics Classic hosted by Allegany College of Maryland. The Thunderwolves, ranked No. 20 in the preseason NJCAA Div. II poll, are now 5-0 overall. Next up is a non-conference tilt at Cuyahoga Community College. Tip-off is slated for 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in downtown Cleveland. 

SUNY Niagara 99, Allegany College of Maryland 66

Freshman Ava Bull had a game-high 20 points and 10 rebounds as the T-Wolves overcame a slow start. Sophomore Krystal Smith finished with 19 points and nine boards, freshman Mackenzie Owens contributed 14 points off the bench and classmate Atarah Walker had nine points and 12 rebounds.

SUNY Niagara 75, WVU Potomac State College 41

Sophomore Makayla Thomas recorded a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds as SUNY Niagara jumped out to a 24-7 lead after the opening quarter. Krystal Smith had 11 points, eight rebounds and six steals, Owens added 11 points and Walker notched 10 points and 10 boards.

SUNY Niagara 80, Harford CC 58

Sophomore Anaya Smith led the charge with 14 points and nine rebounds as the Wolfpack led 25-9 after the first 10 minutes. Krystal Smith had 11 points, 10 rebounds and five steals, Bull added 11 points and nine boards, Owens chipped in with 11 points and freshman Isabella Karabetsos had 10 points and seven assists.
