SUNY Niagara celebrated its Sophomore Day with a 74-46 Western New York Athletic Conference win over visiting Jamestown Community College on Saturday afternoon.
The Thunderwolves, ranked No. 18 in the latest NJCAA Div. II poll, improved to 23-3 overall and 4-0 in conference play. JCC, meanwhile, dropped to 15-4, 3-1.
Freshman Isabella Karabetsos had a game-high 18 points and six assists for the Wolves, who led 44-14 at the half. Classmate Ava Bull finished with a double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds.
Also for SUNY Niagara, freshman Mackenzie Owens had 12 points and seven boards and sophomore Krystal Smith added 12 points and five rebounds.
The same two teams play at 2 p.m. Monday at Jamestown CC.
