Thunderwolves battle hard vs. UB

Niagara County Community College fought hard in nearly every match despite dropping a 41-6 decision to visiting NCAA Division I University at Buffalo on Friday night. NCCC, which is ranked No. 9 in the latest NJCAA poll, is now 5-1 overall in dual meets.

Sophomore Jacob Bell scored the lone win for NCCC, pinning UB's Kevin Meloni just 1:38 into their match at 125 pounds. Dropping one-point decisions for NCCC were sophomore Frankie Gissendaner (149, 4-3) and freshman Josh Thibeault (174, 1-0).

Next up for the Thunderwolves is the annual NWCA National Duals in Louisville, Kentucky.
