Thunderwolves knock off Garrett again

Niagara County Community College used three pins and two technical-fall victories to race past visiting Garrett College, 37-9, on Saturday afternoon. The Thunderwolves improved to 4-0 in dual meets, including a 2-0 mark against the Lakers from Region XX. 

NCCC sophomore Maurice Jackson picked up his second consecutive pin at 285 pounds, which was preceded by pins from classmates Josh Thibeault (197) and David Crow (157). Sophomore Steve Liebler (184) and freshman Zach Ash (133) won by tech fall, while freshman Matt Ash (125) earned an 8-4 decision. 

The T-Wolves return to regional action at 6 p.m. Wednesday when they host Jamestown CC for their final regular-season match.
