Poe finishes third at JCU Open

SUNY Niagara freshman Aiden Poe took third place in the 184-pound gold bracket of the annual John Carroll University Open on Sunday afternoon. Poe, who had been battling illness for most of the second semester, was the lone SUNY Niagara grappler to attend the event.

Poe is now 21-2 overall on the season. He and the rest of the Thunderwolves will return to the mats at 10 a.m. Saturday for the annual Region III/Northeast District Championships. This year's event will be hosted by Nassau Community College.
