Niagara County Community College fell behind 6-0 by halftime and couldn't recover as it dropped a 10-0 Region III contest to a strong Genesee Community College squad on Friday night under the lights at GCC's turf field.
The Thunderwolves are now 0-2 on the young season, while the Cougars improved to 1-1.
NCCC was out-shot 36-5 by the host Cougars. Freshman Stephanie Penna recorded four of the five N-Trip shots. Classmate Kelsey Mallaber made 11 saves in net.
Ashley Bliss' two-goal effort led a parade of nine different goal scorers for GCC.
The Thunderwolves make their home debut at 2 p.m. Friday when they host No. 5 Herkimer College.
