NCCC scores big road win at SUNY Adirondack

Niagara County Community College had an offensive explosion as it scored a 9-0 Region III victory at winless SUNY Adirondack this past Sunday.

The Thunderwolves improved to 2-1-1, while the Timberwolves fell to 0-5.

Freshman forward Rachel Chunco continued her hot start to the season as she netted four goals for the second time this year. She added two assists in the win.

Classmate Georgia Dammann was next on the score sheet with two goals and two helpers, while freshman Rheyne Orell had a breakout game with a goal and an assist.

Freshmen Michaela Reed and Robin Hidy scored their first goals of the season, while fellow frosh Olivia Bruning chipped in with two assists.

Freshman Madison Austin needed to make only two saves for her first career shutout.

N-Trip is next in action at 1 p.m. Sunday when it travels to conference rival Jamestown Community College. The game will be played at Falconer High School.
