Niagara County Community College's offense continued its scorching pace with a 6-1 Region III road victory at Jefferson Community College on Saturday afternoon.
The Thunderwolves are now 7-1, while the Cannoneers lost their seventh straight game to fall to 3-7.
Freshman Rachel Chunco had three goals and two assists as NCCC jumped out to an early lead and never looked back. Chunco now has a team-high 17 goals on the year. She is tied for third in goals among Region III student-athletes.
Also for NCCC, freshman Olivia Bruning had two goals and two assists, freshman Michaela Reed had a single tally and freshman Robin Hidy added two helpers.
The T-Wolves put their six-game win streak on the line at 1 p.m. Sunday when they host nationally-ranked Region III front-runner Mohawk Valley Community College.
