Niagara County Community College dropped a five-set heartbreaker to rival Erie Community College in Region III action Thursday night. The scores were 25-20, 25-22, 22-25, 25-27, 15-17. The Thunderwolves fall to 6-11 overall.
Sophomore outside hitter Allie Bubar had 20 kills, eight aces and seven digs in the loss. Sophomore outside hitter Miranda Newman added 12 kills, six digs and two key blocks, while classmate Alyssa Schlosser chipped in with 11 kills and eight digs. Second-year setter Morgan Boss notched 48 assists.
Next up for NCCC is a WNYAC match at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Genesee CC.
