NCCC swept in season opener

Niagara County Community College's long-awaited season opener was a tough one as the Thunderwolves fell in three sets to Western New York Athletic Conference rival Jamestown CC on Tuesday night. The scores were: 19-25, 16-25 and 12-25.

Sophomore outside hitter Allie Bubar led the NCCC attack with 12 kills, followed by classmate Sydney Rodgers with six kills. 

Fellow second-year player Alyssa Schlosser had four kills and two blocks and Morgan Boss, a sophomore setter, had 14 assists.

Defensively, freshman libero Kelsi Palistrant had 21 digs.

Next up is Saturday's series of Region III pod matches (Fulton-Montgomery CC, Herkimer CC and Mohawk Valley CC) at Jamestown CC.
