Thunderwolves swept by rival ECC

Niagara County Community College couldn't overcome 20 attack errors as it dropped a straight-set Region III match to visiting Erie Community College on Thursday.

The scores were 25-19, 25-15 and 25-9 in favor of the Kats (3-3). NCCC dropped to 0-2.

Freshman Jocelyn Swierski again led the N-Trip defense with a team-best 22 digs. Freshman Marissa Dusza had three kills and two blocks and classmate Kaitlin Hoadley added six assists.

Aurora Davis had a match-high 12 kills to lead a balanced ECC squad.

The Thunderwolves continue their early-season homestand at 6 p.m. Tuesday when they host Jamestown Community College.
