Niagara County Community College closed out the home portion of its schedule with a straight-set loss to Western New York Athletic Conference rival Jamestown Community College on Thursday night. The scores were 26-24, 25-12 and 25-22 in favor of the Jayhawks. NCCC dropped to 1-10 overall and 1-2 in conference play.
Despite losing their top hitter Camri King to an injury, the Thunderwolves battled throughout. Freshman Lilah Frerichs had a team-high five kills and two blocks, while classmate Maggie Monachino added 15 assists and three service aces and first-year player Hanna Roberts tallied 10 digs. Also for N-Trip, the freshman tandem of Allison Farley and Ashanti Thomas split eight kills.
The T-Wolves jump back into Region III play with a pair of pod matches on Saturday at Erie Community College. Opponents include Genesee Community College and these same Jayhawks.
