Bio

North Tonawanda native Lindsay Matikosh is in her ninth season as head coach of the women's volleyball program after spending the previous four years as an assistant coach at NCCC. During her time as an assistant, Matikosh worked with three NJCAA Div. III All-Americans (Delaney Laper, 2013; Kristine Ripson, 2012; Jessica Crooks, 2011) and was a part of the program's 2011 Region III Div. III championship.

Matikosh previously spent time as an assistant coach at NCAA Div. I Canisius College. She also coached travel volleyball with Niagara Frontier Volleyball Club. As a player, Matikosh had a record-setting career at the University at Buffalo where she still sits second all-time in kills and digs. She was recently inducted into the UB Athletics Hall of Fame. A North Tonawanda High School Hall of Famer, Matikosh won three state championships, was a four-time all-state selection and was named New York State Player of Year in 1999.

Matikosh has a bachelor's degree in social sciences interdisciplinary with a concentration in early childhood education from the University at Buffalo and a master's degree in childhood education from Canisius College. Matikosh is employed as a promotions manager/host supervisor for Batavia Downs Gaming. She resides in North Tonawanda.
