Athletics Communications & Media Relations
The position of Sports Information Director at SUNY Niagara serves as the primary source of information for its 11 programs.
Information on all of SUNY Niagara’s athletic teams, including press releases, game results, rosters, coaches’ bios, updated statistics and records, can be viewed on the official athletics website - ncccathletics.com.
Members of the media and communications professionals from opposing schools are encouraged to contact Joe Kraus, our Sports Information Director, for any information they may need.
The office of Sports Information Director and the Athletics Department at SUNY Niagara is always interested in assisting members of the media in their coverage of Thunderwolves athletics.

Interview Policy:
All interviews with SUNY Niagara players, coaches and administrators must be arranged through the Office of Sports Information Director. To avoid any deadline conflicts, please email or call at least two days in advance. Please note: Players contact information will not be given out under any circumstances.
Media Credentials & Game Coverage
All media members are welcome to attend SUNY Niagara athletic events. Credentialed media members and visiting communications professionals will be accommodated with a press box/court-side working station (as space allows), box scores and statistics. SUNY Niagara conducts post-game press conferences for select games only. Any desire to speak with a player or coach in a post-game setting should be communicated to the Office of Sports Information Director in advance.
Media members are asked to please call or email the Office of Sports Information Director at least 48 hours in advance of any contest for proper accommodations.
Photography/Videography
All photographers and videographers wishing to work SUNY Niagara athletic events must contact the Office of Sports Information Director at least 48 hours in advance of their chosen event to gain access to the fields and courts of play. Only photographers/videographers that are contracted through the Athletic Department or those with media credentials will be allowed on playing surfaces at SUNY Niagara athletic events. Special exceptions will be granted on a limited basis, but in most instances, there will be no exceptions to this rule. Credentials will be provided on a limited basis for photographers/videographers who request access within the given limitations.
To request a photo/video credential, please call or email the Office of Sports Information Director at least 48 hours in advance of any contest to ensure credentials being granted.
Additionally, members of the media reporting on SUNY Niagara can request photos and/or video of SUNY Niagara by emailing the Office of Sports Information Director. In the email, please include your name, affiliation, what the photo will be used for, the size needed, color or black & white and the file format desired.
Statistics Policy
SUNY Niagara provides in-game statistics with a live statistician for the sports of men’s and women’s basketball, women’s volleyball and baseball and can be found on both the school’s and NJCAA websites. Statistics conducted through SUNY Niagara’s in-game statisticians are considered the official statistics of Thunderwolves home games. Other programs, such as softball and men's and women's soccer, will have its statistics manually uploaded shortly after each contest. Statistics will only be adjusted at the request of a visiting Sports Information Director, if considered a major error.
