SUNY Niagara continued its strong start to the season with a doubleheader sweep over visiting Region III foe Finger Lakes Community College on Thursday afternoon at Sal Maglie Stadium.
The Thunderwolves, ranked No. 3 in the most recent NJCAA Div. III poll, improved to 22-0 overall and 4-0 in regional play. FLCC, meanwhile, dropped to 12-8, 2-2.
The same two teams match up for a twinbill at Noon Saturday at Finger Lakes CC.
SUNY Niagara 11, Finger Lakes CC 0 (5 inn.)
Sophomore Eric Woodley moved to 3-0 on the bump as he went all five innings and struck out four batters. Sophomore Nigel Sebastianelli was 3-for-3 with a double, two RBIs and two runs scored, while classmate Braeden Dyck went 2-for-2 with a double and two RBIs. Redshirt sophomore Christopher Finocchario added two RBIs and freshman Mike Schaefer chipped in with an RBI double and two runs scored.

Schaefer was 2-for-3 with a home run, double and four RBIs for the T-Wolves, who finished with a season-best 20 hits. Sophomore Gavyn Boyle went 3-for-4 with a home run, triple, RBI and three runs scored, freshman Cooper Rossano was 3-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored and Dyck finished 4-for-5 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Also for SUNY Niagara, freshman Dalton Harper was 3-for-4 with a double, RBI and three runs scored and sophomore Weston Thompson went 2-for-3 with three RBIs and two runs scored.
