T-Wolves knock off former rival GCC

Niagara County Community College raced out to a 17-point halftime lead en route to a 95-87 win against visiting Genesee Community College on Wednesday night.

The Thunderwolves, ranked No. 9 in the latest NJCAA Div. II poll, improved to 8-1 overall. GCC fell to 2-3.

Freshman Justin Hendrick remained hot as he had 23 points and eight rebounds to lead N-Trip, which canned 13 3-pointers in the win.

Also for the T-Wolves, freshman Jamond Jones scored 19 points, freshman Lamar Lovelace had 18 points and freshman Allen Fordham added 14 points.

Jalen Willis had 20 points for the Cougars.

The Thunderwolves' next game is set for 2 p.m. Sunday vs. Monroe College.
