NCCC suffers loss at Herkimer

Niagara County Community College had an eight-game win streak snapped as it dropped a low-scoring 64-54 Region III contest at Herkimer College on Thursday night.

The Thunderwolves, ranked No. 12 in the latest NJCAA Div. II poll, fell to 21-5 overall. The Generals, who sit at No. 4 in the NJCAA Div. III rankings, moved to 17-2.

Freshmen Lamar Lovelace and Justin Hendrick each netted 13 points for NCCC, which had one of its worst shooting nights of the season.

Also for N-Trip, freshman Aaron Miller added nine points and seven boards.

Shykell Brown had 14 points to lead the Generals.

The T-Wolves have another quick turnaround with a pair of road games this weekend - 3 p.m. Saturday at Monroe Community College and 3 p.m. Sunday at Allegany College of Maryland.
