Hendrick scores 43 in big NCCC victory

Niagara County Community College freshman guard Justin Hendrick tied a single-game school record with 43 points as the visiting Thunderwolves rolled to a 114-83 non-conference win at Lorain County Community College on Tuesday night.

The No. 10 Thunderwolves are now 7-1 overall, while the Commodores dropped to 2-3.

Hendrick finished 15-of-20 from the field, including a scorching 10-of-14 from 3-point range. He also had eight rebounds in the win. Hendrick's total tied the mark previously set by DiMario Williams on Feb. 15, 2005 vs. Jamestown Community College-Olean.

Also for N-Trip, freshman guard Lamar Lovelace netted 26 points and classmate LaMarqus Merchant Jr. added 16 points, six boards and four steals.

Rod Harris had 16 points for Lorain CCC.

NCCC will be back in action at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 1 when Genesee Community College visits the Sanborn campus.
