Niagara County Community College went on a key 12-0 run late in the second half to wrap up a 91-75 non-conference home win over a pesky Lorain County Community College squad on Wednesday afternoon.
The win was the 250th in the career of 13th-year NCCC head coach Bill Beilein.
The Thunderwolves, ranked No. 12 in the latest NJCAA Div. II poll, improved to 13-3 overall, while the Commodores fell to 7-4.
NCCC freshman Matthew Cleveland had a career-high 20 points and 13 rebounds in the win. Classmate Justin Hendrick finished with 19 points and six boards and fellow frosh Lamar Lovelace scored 13.
Rod Harris had 20 points to lead Lorain CCC.
The T-Wolves have a quick turnaround as they host No. 5 Lakeland Community College at 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
