SUNY Niagara split a pair of non-conference games in Maryland this past weekend. The Thunderwolves, ranked No. 15 in the latest NJCAA Div. II poll, are now 17-4 overall. SUNY Niagara returns to the hardwood at 3 p.m. Sat. for a conference matchup vs. nationally-ranked Monroe Community College.

Freshman Chioke Marshall had 31 points, four rebounds and four assists for the Thunderwolves, who out-scored the host Cougars 51-31 after intermission. Sophomore Jalen Duff finished with 19 points, eight boards and three steals, classmate Jaeden Bynoe netted 20 off the bench and fellow second-year player Bobby Beilein chipped in 11 points and five rebounds. The Wolves canned 18 3-pointers and shot 46 percent from the floor.

Injuries and illness caught up to the T-Wolves in a setback vs. the Div. I Hawks. Marshall had 17 points and nine rebounds, Bynoe scored 13 points and sophomore Camron Dyer chipped in with 10 points, five boards and three blocks.
