Wolves fall twice in Michigan

SUNY Niagara dropped a pair of hard-fought non-conference games this past weekend in Michigan. The Thunderwolves, ranked No. 11 in the most recent NJCAA Div. II poll, dropped to 14-2 overall. The Wolfpack returns to action at 2 p.m. Sun. Jan. 5 for a non-conference matchup vs. St. John Fisher University JV.

Sophomore Jamyier Patton netted a game-high 35 points, but it wasn't enough against the host Hawks, who shot a blistering 56 percent from the field. Sophomore Jalen Duff added 25 points and eight rebounds, while freshman Bradley Beache notched 10 points in the setback. 

Schoolcraft 85, No. 11 SUNY Niagara 80

Patton and Duff netted 20 points apiece, but the host Ocelots scored 47 second-half points to complete the come-from-behind victory. Sophomore Camron Dyer added 12 points and classmate Jaeden Bynoe chipped in with 10 points for SUNY Niagara.
