NCCC falls to visiting Lakers

Niagara County Community College dug itself a big first-half hole and couldn't recover in a 6-4 Region III loss to visiting Finger Lakes Community College on Wednesday afternoon.

The Thunderwolves, who trailed 5-2 at intermission, are now 4-4 on the season. FLCC, meanwhile, improved to 8-4.

NCCC freshman Jay Yule netted a hat trick to lead a potent offensive attack. Classmate Ruben Joao Baptista added a goal and an assist.

Fellow first-year T-Wolves A.J. McMillan and Taivier Stewart were credited with single assists in the loss.

Chuck Domm scored three goals to lead the Lakers.

The Thunderwolves return to the pitch at 3 p.m. Saturday for a key regional road game at Jefferson Community College.
