SUNY Niagara booters earn first point

SUNY Niagara earned its first Region III point of the season after playing to a 2-2 draw with visiting Clinton Community College on Sunday afternoon. The Thunderwolves are now 0-6-1 both overall and in regional play.

Freshman Mike Cole, who made his season debut on Saturday, got the T-Wolves on the scoreboard with his first career goal. Classmate Dylan Ljiljanich converted a penalty kick for the other tally. Ljiljanich has now scored four goals in his last two outings.

Freshman goalkeeper Quinn Walton finished with six saves. He now has an impressive 124 stops on the year.

SUNY Niagara is back in action at 4 p.m. Thursday when it travels to Binghamton to take on SUNY Broome.
