SUNY Niagara came out on the wrong end of an 8-0 decision after battling the heat and perennial Region III power Genesee Community College on Saturday afternoon. The Thunderwolves fell to 0-3 overall and 0-1 in regional play.
The T-Wolves, who did not record a shot on goal, found themselves in an early hole and trailed by eight goals at intermission. Freshman goalkeeper Quinn Walton kept the team afloat, finishing with 30 saves. He now has 66 saves on the year.
SUNY Niagara returns to action at 5 p.m. Wednesday when it welcomes Tompkins-Cortland Community College to the Sanborn campus.
