SUNY Niagara was out-shot 53-1 en route to an 11-1 loss to NJCAA Div. I power Monroe Community College in Western New York Athletic Conference action on Wednesday afternoon. The host Tribunes, ranked No. 19 in the latest national poll, improved to 3-1-0 overall. The Thunderwolves, meanwhile, dropped to 0-1 overall.
Freshman Dylan Ljiljanich made the score 2-1 in the 17th minute before the high octane MCC offense scored nine consecutive goals. Classmate Ryan Haynes was credited with the assist, while first-year goalkeeper Quinn Walton turned away 19 shots.
The T-Wolves turn their attention to Region III Div. III play with a 3 p.m. Saturday kickoff at SUNY Adirondack.
