SUNY Niagara picked up its first win since 2023 with a split at Region III foe SUNY Adirondack on Saturday evening. It was also the first career victory for head coach Jenna Koch. The Thunderwolves are now 1-12 overall and 1-2 in regional play. SUNY Niagara has a quick turnaround with a twinbill at 1 p.m. Sunday at Onondaga CC.

Freshman Caitlyn Hanley - the winning pitcher - was 3-for-3 with two home runs, three RBIs and three runs scored. Freshman Isabella Christopher ripped a grand slam, classmate Quinn Manth was 3-for-4 with three RBIs, two runs scored and three stolen bases and fellow frosh Natalie Brandel added two hits and an RBI.

Freshman Jordan Shaffer clubbed an RBI double in the setback. Sophomore Rylee VanNostrand and Christopher were also credited with an RBI.
