
SUNY Niagara welcomes incoming class
SANBORN, N.Y. --- The SUNY Niagara softball program signed eight student-athletes to NJCAA National Letters of Intent to join the Thunderwolves this fall ahead of the 2025-26 season. Head Coach Jenna Koch and her staff hosted the incoming class for a signing event inside the athletic department lobby Thursday.
The incoming class includes:
- Tori Firkins – 3B/OF, John F. Kennedy High School (Cheektowaga)
- Eva Lacy – OF, Medina
- Leah Kressman – INF, Niagara Falls
- Grace Schindler – C/OF, West Seneca West
- Marissa Shingleton – P/OF, North Tonawanda
- Miranda Shingleton – Utility, North Tonawanda
- Molly Syposs – C/IF, Niagara Falls
- Emmilie Sypherd – IF/OF, Lancaster
"I am absolutely thrilled to announce the addition of these players to our Thunderwolves family," Koch said. "They are all very dedicated, focused and hard-working student athletes. They want to come here and add to what we are building on with this program. They will all make an impact on our team starting on Day One. We pride ourselves on recruiting local talent that can compete at the next level. This recruitment class will shine in regional play and also be wonderful students in the classroom."
SUNY Niagara finished with a 5-26 record last season. The Thunderwolves had six players receive All-WNYAC honors, including first-team selections Isabella Christopher, Caitlyn Hanley and Quinn Manth.
