NCCC beats Lakers at home

Niagara County Community College played in just its third home game of the season and came away with a 104-27 non-conference win over Finger Lakes Community College on Thursday night. The Thunderwolves, ranked No. 14 in the latest NJCAA Div. II poll, improved to 9-0 overall.

NCCC sophomore Faith Alessandra led a parade of five players in double figures, finishing with 17 points and five rebounds. Classmate Emily Delisle added 14 points and four boards and freshman Rachel Kamrowski had 12 points and three assists. Also for N-Trip, freshman Makayla Thomas notched 11 points and seven boards and fellow frosh Anaya Smith had 10 points and four rebounds.

The T-Wolves, who led 66-10 at the half, racked up 29 assists and held a commanding 62-24 edge on the glass. 

NCCC returns to action at this weekend's Post-Journal Classic hosted by Jamestown Community College.
