Niagara County Community College picked up its 20th victory of the season after knocking off host Monroe Community College, 88-39, in Western New York Athletic Conference action on Friday night. The No. 20 Thunderwolves improved to 20-1 overall and 3-0 in the conference.
Sophomore Faith Alessandra scored a team-high 18 points for NCCC, which built a 51-17 halftime lead and forced 34 turnovers in the win. Freshman Krystal Smith had 11 points and eight rebounds, while classmate Mia Little notched 11 points, four assists and three steals.
Also for N-Trip, freshman Anaya Smith added 10 points and nine rebounds and sophomore Emily Delisle finished with 10 points and six boards.
The T-Wolves have a quick turnaround with a non-conference clash vs. Monroe College slated for 1 p.m. Sunday at Ithaca High School.
