Host SUNY Niagara racked up 29 steals and 27 assists on its way to a 100-41 Western New York Athletic Conference victory over local rival Erie Community College on Wednesday night.
The Thunderwolves, ranked No. 18 in the latest NJCAA Div. II poll, improved to 20-3 overall and 2-0 in conference play.
Sophomore Rachel Kamrowski netted a game-high 20 points, while classmate Makayla Thomas notched a rare triple-double with 18 points, 10 assists and 10 steals.
Freshman Atarah Walker had a double-double with 16 points and 12 boards and fellow frosh Isabella Karabetsos stuffed the stat sheet with 15 points, 11 rebounds, seven assists and five steals.
Sophomore Krystal Smith was also in double figures with 10 points and six steals. The Wolves built up a 54-12 lead at the half.
SUNY Niagara returns to action at 1:30 p.m. Saturday for a home date with Cuyahoga Community College.
