SUNY Niagara returned to the court for the first time in two weeks and came away with a convincing 91-49 non-conference home victory over Lorain County Community College on Saturday afternoon. The Thunderwolves, ranked No. 14 in the most recent NJCAA Div. II poll, improved to 15-1 overall.
The Wolfpack had five players in double figures led by freshman point guard Isabella Karabetsos, who finished with 19 points and four assists. Classmate Mackenzie Owens netted 15 points off the bench.
Sophomores Makayla Thomas and Anaya Smith each added 14 points. Thomas also had five steals, while Smith snatched four boards. Sophomore Rachel Kamrowski chipped in with 11 points in the win.
The Wolves return to action at 3 p.m. Saturday when they travel to NJCAA Div. I power Monroe University for the annual Monroe Mixer.
