NCCC picks up second straight shutout

Niagara County Community College earned its second consecutive Region III shutout with a 3-0 road victory at Jamestown Community on Sunday afternoon.

The game was played at Falconer High School. NCCC is now 3-1-1, while the Jayhawks are 2-4.

Freshman Madison Austin produced another clean sheet between the pipes as she made five saves. N-Trip held a 24-6 edge in shots on goal.

The T-Wolves netted all three of their goals after intermission with freshman Kara Seguin scoring less than a minute into the second half. Classmate Georgia Dammann was credited with the assist.

NCCC extended its lead with unassisted goals from the freshman tandem of Elizabeth Klumpp and Rachel Chunco.

The Thunderwolves have the week off before a road contest at Roberts Wesleyan College's JV team. Kickoff is slated for 2 p.m. Sunday.
