Niagara County Community College took perennial Region III power Jamestown Community College to five sets before falling to the host Jayhawks on Thursday night.
The scores were 25-17, 23-25, 23-25, 25-20 and 15-7 in favor of JCC (7-6). NCCC fell to 2-7.
NCCC freshman Marissa Dusza had a career night, finishing with 15 kills and five blocks. Sophomore Kim Norman was also strong at the net, putting down 10 kills.
Defensively, freshman Jocelyn Swierski had 34 digs and classmate Gianna Smalley added six digs to go with her nine kills.
Also for N-Trip, freshman Kaitlin Hoadley had a season-high 38 assists.
The T-Wolves continue to stay busy with a road tilt at regional front-runner SUNY Broome. First serve is set for Noon on Saturday.
