Host SUNY Niagara split a pair of Region III matches at this past weekend's pod. The Thunderwolves fell to Genesee Community College in straight sets before it swept conference rival Jamestown Community College. The T-Wolves are now 3-11 overall and 2-8 in regional matches. SUNY Niagara returns to the court at 1 p.m. Saturday for the SUNY Broome pod.

Freshman Cait Cliffe had eight kills and 14 digs, but it wasn't enough in the 25-10, 25-18, 25-21 loss. Classmate Ava Gaudy added 18 assists and two service aces, fellow frosh Lydia Tetrault had 15 digs and sophomore Juliana Levesque chipped in with three kills and eight digs.

Cliffe racked up eight kills, three aces and five digs as the T-Wolves cruised to a 25-9, 25-16, 25-13 win. Gaudy finished with 24 assists and five aces, Levesque had six kills and seven digs and Tetrault chipped in with 10 digs.
